So Much Music, So Hard To Choose!
Although it is quite difficult for me to pick one single favorite CD that Barbara has recorded,
I must say that I am partial to "Reconcile" and "Breath by Breath."
"Reconcile" was the very first CD that I bought of Barbara's. I guess the fact that it was
my first one, makes it more special for me. This CD has some amazing songs on it...from the Julie Rust penned tune, "Paint
The Sky Green" to a song Barbara wrote, "Believe In Me."
"Breath by Breath" is the most recent BBH CD, and it quickly became a favorite. I never thought
I'd love another BBH CD quite as much (I love them all to pieces!!) as "Reconcile," but "Breath by Breath" snuck into
my heart after one breath...one moment!! ;-) From the Cheryl Wheeler cover of "Gandhi/Buddha" to the Billy Jonas classic "God
Is In" and Don Henry's "All Kinds of Kinds" to the BBH penned "Messenger," (MY SONG!! :-D) this CD is sure to be in my
CD player (on repeat!) for YEARS to come!!!!
Though I picked these two BBH CDs as my favorite, I love all of Barbara's recordings
for different reasons. Each CD is well worth checking into!!!!

My Favorite BBH tunes...
While it is very difficult for me to pick a favorite Barbara Bailey Hutchison CD, it is almost
next to impossible for me to pick a favorite song. I love so many of her songs for so many different reasons...
"Paint The Sky Green"-- (off "Reconcile") I am a preschool teacher, and this
song just sums up perfectly my view on children, teaching, and learning. We all want children to believe in themselves, and
reach for their dreams, don't we?! That's what this song is about. One line in the song is "Limits Don't Exist For Me"...doesn't
that just say it all?!
"Spirit Of The Heart"-- (off "Portrait") This song is another one
that sums up how I feel about life and dreams. "You can call it crazy, call it anything you like, but when the times are darkest,
I can still make out the light..." What a fabulous song!!
"Then I Think About Love"-- (off
"Breath by Breath") This is a beautiful song...one that I think could be a hit on country radio! It's a gorgeous love song
that paints a spectacular picture in the mind of the listener. "Strangers meet on a street in Manhattan..."
"Try A Smile"-- (off "Synchronized Hearts") Anyone that knows me knows I LOVE to smile! I collect smiley
faces, too! When I heard this song, I couldn't help but feel that this song was so "me." It makes me smile just listening
to it. :-)
"Towards A Dream"-- (off "Edge Of Wisdom") This song is another positive "You can do it"
song!! You can reach your dreams, if you keep reaching and never give up. (NOTE: This is the song that is quoted on the main
page of this website.)
"Close To The Heart"-- (off "Edge Of Wisdom") This song is special
to me because my 2 best friends don't live close to me, but I know that they are always close, because they are in my heart.
"It's Raining"-- (off "Breath by Breath") This song is GORGEOUS, absolutely gorgeous!!
It's a brilliantly penned song, by BBH, about the aspects of war that we can all agree on, no matter our beliefs.
The lyrics, the music, BBH's voice, the message...it all works beautifully together for a brilliant and gorgeous
song!!!!
"It's Love"-- (off "Reconcile") This song is definitely a song that makes a statement.
Penned by BBH, this song talks of loving one another despite any differences.
"Take It From Me"--
(off "Portrait") What can I say?! I just love this song...the music, the beat, the lyrics, and of course, Barbara's voice!!
"Believe In Me"-- (off "Reconcile") This song is absolutely amazing!!!! I adore this song
so very much!! It's one of those songs that you may want to say to a loved one, but might not have been able to find the words
to do so.
"Part Of You"--(Off "Synchronized Hearts") This song is so close to my heart simply because
it describes EXACTLY how I feel about BBH and Chris, and how I feel when they are preparing to leave after spending some
time with me. It is a GREAT song, and Barbara absolutely BELTS out some of the notes in this song!! WOW!!
"Breath By Breath"--(off "Breath by Breath") This is the title track of the newest BBH CD,
and I cannot wait for all the BBH fans to hear this song!! It's GORGEOUS!! This is a song that many of us should probably
listen to on a daily basis. It's all about taking life one moment at a time.
"Messenger"--(off "Breath by Breath") I could not possibly have a list of my favorite BBH
songs without this song. This song holds a VERY special place in my heart. Barbara wrote this song for me. I cannot
describe what it is like to have one of your best friends, and favorite singer, write and sing a song for you. There are no
words, but I can say that she has touched a place deep down in my heart and soul that not many have touched!! Thank you,

Well, there you have it...12 of my very favorite BBH songs! So, I picked 12...nothin' wrong with that. ;-) I said
it was next to impossible for me to pick a favorite song!! These are only 12 of my very favorites (they are ALL my favorites!).
That means that there are SO many more songs that Barbara has written and recorded that are also just as magical!!!!
